A highly compact condenser packing media for efficient fraction separation in reflux systems.
The shape of SPP maximises surface area contact between vapour and reflux surface making it incredibly useful for separating out the fractions within a reflux condenser. This leads to a highly pure end product with great fraction separation. The HETP of this packing is approximately 30mm meaning for every 30mm of vertical height of this packing equates to one bubble plate or 33 plates per meter.
We would not recommend packing a pot condenser with this material as you will strip a substantial amount of flavour from the end product. We would highly suggest opting for larger SPP if you are packing a condenser with a diameter of 4" or larger or you will run the risk of flooding.

Note: We recommend soaking and washing the SPP before its first use with a 50:50 mix of vinegar or citric acid and warm to hot water to remove all manufacturing oils. Brewery cleaner with added surfactant will also remove manufacturing oils.
