Super Sweet Genovese basil is a variety of sweet, Italian heirloom basil with extra-large dark green leaves and an intoxicating fragrance. It's easy to grow in a sunny spot with well-draining soil. Water regularly to keep soil evenly moist. Pinch off flower buds to encourage bushier growth and harvest regularly to keep producing those dish-elevating leaves. When harvesting, cut it back to about 1/4 inch above a node, which is where the branch meets the main stem. Be sure to leave enough foliage on your plant so it can continue to grow.
